On Wikipedia, any claim made in an article may be challenged by adding the {{citation needed}} marker to a statement. I understand why this is necessary, and I fully support the process. Without it, the elephant population in Africa might start swelling over the last few years, etc., but has it really come so far that the statement, "Humans lack gills and do not otherwise have the capacity to breathe underwater unaided by external devices," needs a citation? -rbarry |
